Student Research Project Achievement

It was with great pride and excitement that we shared this achievement. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Soner Doğan, our second-year medical student Mert Önen successfully carried out a research project entitled “Investigation of the Effect of Different Calorie Restrictions on Estrogen Receptor-Related Protein Expression in the Mouse Brain and Its Association with Breast Cancer.” The project was accepted and supported within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program. This work aimed to contribute to a better understanding of how nutritional interventions and calorie restriction might influence hormone-related pathways in the brain and their possible links to breast cancer development. The project also strengthened our student’s scientific skills, from experimental design and data collection to analysis and presentation of results.
